Description: Picked March 18, 2006.   13.5 % alc/vol. 
60 dozen produced: matured in French oak for 19 months.
Bottled May, 2008..

Colour: Deep purple & magenta.
Nose: Rich black cherry & ripe fruit.
Palate: Clean fruit & balanced oak; long fruit finish.

The weather conditions early in 2006 led to tiny pinot noir grapes, resulting in a crop of only 1.2 tonnes from our hectare of unirrigated 28 year Old Vines (Thus OV-28).
600 litres of stunning wine was the result, with deep intense colours & flavours, richer than most Australian pinot noirs, but still distinctly 'pinot'.

It will develop complexity for 5 to 10 years, possibly reaching its peak around 2020!

In future, THE WILSON OV-series will only appear in exceptional years.
